Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower. ~Albert Camus
Happy fall to you! The first day of fall was Saturday, Sept. 22, also known as autumnal equinox. As we say goodbye to the warm, long days of summer and embrace the crisp, sweet air of autumn mornings, I wish for your days to be filled with renewed hope and God’s blessings!
Linking up with Patti for Visible Monday!
Thank you so much to stopping by!

beautiful…
Thanks V!
I absolutely love when the wind blows and the fabric moves. Amazing pictures, very chic dress, beautiful woman. Best of the best, as usual Jeannie! x
Thanks so much Edita!
Yes, it was fun when the wind cooperated! 🙂
Great dress!great colors!
Thanks Sara!
Even with bright colors you always look so chic and classic.
Hi Lila!
Thanks sweetie! 🙂
Great way to usher in fall. Summer’s gaiety paired with a transitional jacket. I always love seeing what’s next and how you’ll put it together. Fantastic.
x Laura
Hi Laura! Thank you!
I find this transition period to be fun. You can still getaway with warm weather favorites while injecting fall pieces for interesting combinations….e.g., boots with a skirt/dress, blazer with shorts, sweater over a delicate maxi….fun! 🙂
Your skirt totally rocks! Hope your Autumn is wonderful … our Spring has started and we’re having fairly great weather … little pansies in the flower beds and my alstromerias and fuschias that are blooming just make me smile.
Have a fabulous week.
Thank you Wendy!
It’s kinda strange that in your part of the world, it’s spring! I hope your spring will be as lovely as it was here. 🙂
Jeannie! That is an absolutely GORGEOUS dress! I love it!! :):):) And I can’t wait for it to actually feel like Fall here!
xo, sam

Thanks Sam!
I know! Gotta change out my closet…soon!
It is great to see that you have such a positive perspective on life! It is truly motivating and inspiring. – I love your outfit and the “kaleidoscopish” maxi skirt. (And here’s a little secret: the kaleidoscope was one of my favorite toys as a child and still is one of my favorite english words, that’s why I named my blog Style-idoscope.) 🙂 http://styleidoscope.blogspot.de/
Hi Katherine!
Oh, how cool is that? I had one of those tubes myself….used to spend many hours just turning that tube to see the changes in bright colors & pattens. I love your blog name!!! ❤
Hi Gorgeous!! I love the way you’ve made this summery-looking skirt more Fall worthy with the jacket and shoes. Fall is my FAVORITE season!!!! I know Joey and I will be taking many jaunts up towards your neck of the woods as the foliage turns. I also love the quote from Camus. So true! Have a wonderful week. Love, Jean
Hi Jean!
I would love to see you if you come up my way! Maybe we can meet you guys for lunch or something. 🙂
It looks like these colours and this dress make you really happy and that your are having a lot of fun with it. Looking great Jeannie!
It does make me smile….just b/c it’s so loud and out of character for me. 🙂
what a fabulous skirt
it reminds me of those bottles of sand with the layers of different colors we used to make back in the day
love it
brett
Thanks Brett!
It’s a crazy skirt with wild colors….what can I say?! 🙂
What a fun & colorful skirt! It’s still too hot for me to think about fall in Southern CA. But I know seeing all the blogger with their fall clothes will make me wish fall would come sooner.

You can send me a picture by October 1 if you have time. I hope all is well with you. I’m sorry I’ve been so behind in my blog reading, I have been swamped with kid chores and I know you can relate! Hi Jill!
Thank you! Yes, I SO understand how busy things can get keeping up with kids.
I will do my best to come up with something worthy to join you and Adrianne.
Autumn is my favorite because of the colors…just love them. I also really like your black jacket! Great style.
Thank you Pam!
I, too, love the rich colors of fall….can’t wait for the changing of the leaves.
Wow! Love that skirt. So pretty.
Thank you Heather!
Beautiful skirt and a lovely summary of Autumn in words.
Hi Lisa!
Thanks sweetie!
You certainly have a knack for picking up themes and repeating them: I just love how the (textured?) stripe in the jacket subtly references the irregular horizontal pattern on the skirt.
Thank you!
Yes, the jacket does have textured stripes. One of my all time favorite jacket!
What a GREAT skirt!
XOXO

It is quite bright and wild! Hubby & I call it the “hippie” skirt.
Yes, I am ready for fall!
That skirt is so much fun. I love it! I am waiting for the cool mornings you speak of…..we have a few more weeks of heat I’nm afraid. We are getting closer!
Thanks Becky! The skirt IS fun and pretty wild. I had to calm it down by pairing it with something neutral/black. I call this my “hippie” skirt. Hang in there…..just a few more weeks to cooler mornings! 🙂
Love the colours of the skirt and the door! LOL
Now, how did I know you would like the door? 😆
Jeannie, I will take that blessing and hold on to it tightly! Your skirt is so beautiful and don’t you love it when the wind tosses the fabric, so awesome. 🙂
Rachel,
You are such a sweetie! ❤
Yes, you're so right about the wind….it was perfect with this skirt.
Such an array of beautiful colors! I like the dash of autumn setting the stage for your post.
Thank you! I think I’m kinda excited about the fall. It gets absolutely beautiful around here in the mountains.
