Hello everyone! Hope your weekend was fabulous!
First of all, I would like to thank everyone who entered the scarf giveaway via comments & emails. Just so you know, I used a tried & true method for the drawing….names in the bowl! The winner of the beautiful silk scarf is Diane W. Congratulations Diane! I will send your information to Soft Surroundings. Enjoy!
For those of you who are football fans, you know it’s that time of the year! Here in the South, college football IS the other religion.
Hubby & I spent the weekend in Tennessee to attend the home opener game. University of TN is hubby’s alma mater…I just go for fun and food! We’ll be spending a lot of Saturdays among a sea of orange this fall.
The game day started out rainy & cool….fashionable in orange, don’t you think?
How about these holey boyfriend jeans?
Yes, too young….I know, but I like it, and I’m wearing them!
I’m linking up with Visible Monday and
Until next time, take care!

awesome shoes! u look really great
Love the outfit. Love, love, love the shoes!!
It’s hard to wear a poncho with grace 😉 Love the heels though
Uh-oh. Gig ’em, Aggies!
Haha! Welcome to the big SEC!!
great shoes….i love the simple pairing and it’s so refreshing..
Thanks June!
Sometimes, simpler the better. 🙂
okay, i LOVE those shoes!!! and you look amazing. you’re wearing a simple outfit of jeans and a white shirt but you turn it into something special. you have great style!
Wow, thanks Claire!
You make any any outfit shine. The shoes and bag are the perfect accessories for your jeans and crisp white shirt. And not too young is you ask me. If you love it wear it!
Thank you Judith!
The BF jeans are great on you. It didn’t even occur to me that they weren’t appropriate. Again with the shoes — so rockin’!
x Laura
Thanks Laura!
Well…when my daughter wants my jeans, I kinda know they’re too young for 50ish woman. I’ll wear it a few times and probably give it to her. She hates it that she wears 1/2 size smaller in shoes or she’d be getting my shoes, too! 🙂
May I suggest to her that she get some insoles to take up the slack. 😉 Your shoes are too drool-worthy to pass up.
x L.
Hey, let’s not give her any ideas!
I love the jeans. I had some that were similar until the tears turned into huge holes, haha. Those shoes are great too! Stylish as always…
Thank you!
Did you not know you pay extra for bigger holes??? 🙂
Love the jeans and that fabulous bag! And of course the white shirt too. A
Thanks Heather!
We do love our white shirts, don’t we?
Definitely fashionable in ORANGE! That’s such a cute pic the hubby took of you! 🙂 And I love the white shirt and distressed denim. I finally got a pair from Zara, and they are so comfy.
xo, sam
**Style of Sam**
Thanks Sam!
I think he enjoyed taking pic of me in that orange plastic way more than he should have.;)
Yes, they are very comfy…especially if you have to sit – stand – sit – stand – for over 3 hours!!
These boyfriend jeans look SO classy on you…..it is the way you combined them and wore them… 🙂
Love the shoes!
Thank you, Katherine!
A classic white shirt probably saved the outfit from being too “out there” for my age. 😉
Too young? never in a million year – i probably wear too young sometimes, but frankly i do not care;)
Ariane
Hi Ariane!
I love your attitude!! Thank you!
Expertly matched bag and shoes. Nothing is too young on you – you are too young for it all – you are AMAZINGLY beautiful and I will never stop wishing I am exactly like you when I become gracefully 50 🙂
Edita,
You sweet thing, you!
I’d like to give you a BIG ol’ hug right about now!
I do like big ol’ hugs!!!!
Oh, how I love your shoes and bag! Your whole look was perfect for the occasion—you look great!
Thanks Marie! Comfy jeans are a must to sit thru 3 hours of football game! 🙂
Have a great day!
LOVE love love those shoes! And the bag, but oooh, the shoes! Lucky you, having a team with such a stylish team colour, besides.
Oh, but for so many years it was difficult to find decent “orange” outfits to wear to ball games. Then bam! “Orange” is IN!
Lucky me! 🙂
My son’s university team is bright purple. Orange=”in”. Purple=”out”!!
The holey boyfriend jeans are a definite “do”. Actually your whole outfit is a “do”…even the orange rain coat.
🙂 Thanks Sheila.
Good on you Jeannie. You still look fabulous in them. And I thought you looked very fashionable in orange too!
Thanks Sylvia!
These bf jeans are new. I gave the other holey ones to my daughter. Guess I missed them.
Orange poncho fashionable? Nah! 🙂
I think you look fab!! Love the shoes you wore to a football game. I bet you were the best dressed there!

Thank you Alice!
Not exactly, but I was comfortable!! 🙂
No such thing as too young, so long as your *****isn’t hanging out! You look casually great!!! Always first class, my dear 🙂
Thank you, Jean!
Sadly, I don’t have much of ***** to show even if I wanted to. 😉
You are rockin’ the boyfriend jeans. I have a couple pair myself and I wear them proudly. Lookin’ good!!
Thanks Becky!
So glad to hear that! Please tell me yours has holes, too! 😉
no maam NOT too young!!
love that bag you are sporting
brett
Thanks Brett!
I like your bf jeans, too!
So loving your shoes!! ^_^
Kim,USA
Thanks Kim!
No, not too young! You look great! I love the shoes and the orange slicker. ~Patricia
Thanks Patricia! That orange poncho saved me from getting totally wet. No umbrellas allowed in the stadium. I should invest in a nicer “orange” raincoat for games…so glad “orange” is still popular this season!
Orange will ALWAYS be popular at those games! No worries there! 🙂
You can pull off anything!!!! Love the shoes and you look like a million bucks!!!
Even the orange plastic poncho???
Thanks Judy! You’re always so darn sweet to me!
even in an orange plastic bag you look pretty! your jeans and the white are gorgeous but the sandals are fantastic! i cannot wear such high heels and i often regret it.
Haha, thanks Sabine!
My fashionable orange plastic saved me from getting drenched that day!
I don’t know how long I’ll be able to wear heels…. but, until then, I’m gonna wear them even if it kills me! 😉
Nice pics!!!
loved the cat!

Thanks Ingrid!
You are one gorgeous gal! Thanks for dropping by!
:)))
You look fabulous!! I’ll bet you gave the coed a run for their money on looking fantastic!
Hardly…but, I thank you so much!
LOVE the entire outfit!! But particularly, those shoes and that bag. Very stylish!
Thank you Jeanine!
YOUNG, SHMUNG… so what??? You look awesome and that is all that matters!!! We are never to old to wear what we want and the naysayers can take their comments elsewhere. 🙂 Those shoes are highlighting the toe cuteness and I remember that orange is such a power color… 🙂
Rachel, my cheerleader! Thank you! I will wear them without reserve!
Haha, the orange poncho? Fashion statement at it’s best! Everyone in that stadium was sporting one of those that day!
Wowee!! You look stunning! I’ve been looking for jeans like that and I’m 52, I don’t care what they say either. I’m going to wear them! And your shoes are just gorgeous and very rich looking. You really inspire me today….now all I need to do is get rid of this sinus infection and I’ll be feeling like getting dressed again. 😉
Aww, thanks Joni! You inspire me with your originality and spunky personality!
I DO hope you get to feeling better….SOON!!
Move out of the picture jeans, its the s.h.o.e.s. Oh my heart … quieten down now.
You look stunning as always and you carry it so well – you would get away with a hessian sack and make it look the height of fashion.
LOL! Wendy, you are a gal after my heart! I feel your love for shoes! It’s a sickness, and we’re very ill! 😀
I wear those jeans all the time. We’re not too old to pull it off!
Thanks! Well, even if we are, who cares? Are yours holey, too? 😀
You’ve outdone yourself! Now…. hand them over – your shoes and bag over to me **MWAHAHAHAHA** XOXO to you Jeannie…
Haha! Thanks Jeannie! Would your mom approve?? 😉
Er’hem, I am 36 in 15 days time… I think that would put me on the independent list? hehehehe! I’ve always been a freedom fighter actually, had lots of fights with my over protective mom back then – from cooking my own food to going to a friend’s b-day party.
Your mom sounds like me. I have the same kind of relationship with my dear daughter…she’s 23. I AM that protective mom!!
For the record, I was locked in the house when I was 16 but I managed to climb out of the window and over my neighbors wall 😛 Those were the days – fortunately dear old mother realised that I am a sensible and responsible person before I hit 18 *phew*
Jeannie!! How could you! 😉
As moms, we worry no matter how old our kids are….it’s b/c we love our kids more than life itself!
Well, the irony is now that I worry about HER! It’s like she became the teenager and I am now the old lady.
Hi, Jeannie. I love your boyfriend jeans and think this outfit is great. And OMG…those triple buckle shoes are SICK! And you know I mean that in a good way. I don’t even know if people say that anymore…but how else can I explain the fabulousness of these shoes adequately?
Lol, thanks Lisa!
Thank goodness for the zipper in the back of the shoes. Having to buckle all 6 might take a while.
I like “SICK”…kinda like “COOL.” Old folks lingo! 😀
Hi Jeannie, this is absolutely fashion raincoat. 🙂 🙂 The outfit is very nice, and the shoes are absolutely spectacular. Whenever doubts in your youth outfits and you should not. The pants will look perfect and youth fashion suits you very well. I always love the way you wear shirts.

Haha! Well, they don’t allow umbrellas in the stadium so the orange poncho is good as it gets! 😀
Thank you for your wonderful comment, Josep!
Wow! I have never been to such an event with so many people around me. Must be some experience! You look fabulous!
Thank you Sara!
It IS fun! Although, some people just have TOO much fun, if you know what I mean. Lots of food & booz before the game.
Great look! I love my BF jeans 🙂
Thanks Leslie! I do, too!
Too young? No way! You look fabulous, pairing classic capsule pieces but with a bit of an edge-excellent! And the photos are wonderfully artistic, soft and beautiful. So enjoying your blog.

Aww….thanks so much Paula! I enjoy yours, too!
White shirts and blue jeans are my favorite fashion staple. You pull it all together with the shoes and bag….love this look!
Go Vols!!
🙂
Thanks Elisa! I have a feeling your jeans are NOT holey….prob more classy.
Yes, Go Vols!! We play Florida Gators this weekend! Sold out game in TN. They’re expecting over 105,000 people! It’s going to be crazy! I may let my son go with hubs, and I’ll just go shopping! 🙂
LOVE those holey jeans! And the shoes too!
XOXO

Thanks Daisy!
Not too young at all. They are relaxed and easy-looking, and that classic white shirt dresses them up. But I confess, I didn’t really notice your jeans nearly as much as those marvelous, many-buckled shoes 😮
Haha, thanks Lynne! It’s a good thing the shoe has a zipper in the back. Can you imagine having to buckle & unbuckle every time you had to put them on or off?
Love the jeans!! Just in case you decide you don’t want them anymore, there’s always room in my closet.
Yes, daughter….I know! 😉
Not too young at all – I think your whole look is fresh and perfect for the occasion, and for your modern style. Love that bag! Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday.
Thank you Patti! This is my typical weekend get up….especially for ball games!
You can pull it off…no worries. I have always liked torn jeans too…not sure why. Looks like a fun weekend. My parents have been living in TN for the past 11 years (first time they lived there it was for 7 years–where I was born) so I know all about the south and their football fanatics (women’s basketball too).
Fanatic is right! I have one right here at home! Yes, we do love Pat Summit and the lady Vols!
So, you were born in TN! Don’t you miss the south? 😀
I have to admit: I don’t “get” college football. But man, those shoes of yours are awesome. I would totally hang with you at a game — any time!
Thanks Anne!
I watched my son play football since he was 5! I’ve learned the game and come to love it. Both of my kids played 3 sports growing up…spent all our time going to and from games. Loved every minute of it! It’s kinda in my blood…almost like shoes & bags!
No…. They look great on you, you totally carry it off. It’s not like a woman our age wearing sexy 18 year old clothes, you always look classy and fabulous. You do have the most amazing collection of shoes and bags!!! Post your closet one day!
Haha, wanna see my closet? I’m a bit too embarrassed to share that mess!
Thank you for your SO sweet comment!
I would never try to wear what 18 yr olds are wearing these day….I don’t ever remember wearing such clothing when I was 18, or in my 20’s or 30’s! They grow up waaaay too fast these days!
