Happy Labor Day!

I’d like to introduce you to a company that I’ve recently come to know. Soft Surroundings!  When they contacted me for a possible collaboration, I was surprised and thrilled.  I immediately went to their website to “check them out.”  The name Soft Surroundings is PERFECT for the merchandise they offer which includes women’s apparel, beauty products, accessories, and home furnishings & decor.  I did not hesitate to accept the offer.  I agreed to review an item of my choice and to host a giveaway for you guys. Sounds fun!  Right?

I chose this Marrakech Skirt not only b/c it looked beautiful on the model, but b/c I wanted a piece that could transition from late summer to early fall.  The soft fabric (cotton), the flowing pleats, and an eye-catching design proved to be a winner in my humble opinion.  But, let me tell you, it was NOT easy to choose just one item…you’ll know what I mean after you get a chance to browse thru their gorgeous offerings.

Now for the giveaway….I chose this Silk Zanzibar Scarf.  The rich colors grabbed my attention immediately, and I thought it would be a perfect addition to YOUR fall wardrobe.

  1. Love the top, but didn’t see it on the Soft Surroundings website. Do you know where we could find it or something similar? Just found your blog and I am loving your style.

    • Hi there! The top is from Ann Taylor. It’s from last season so I’m not sure if they will still have the exact style available. I did see a similar blouse called “cascade ruffle shirt” that looks close to this one on their website. Thanks for visiting my blog. Hope you find what you’re looking for!

    You are indeed a graceful Mom and your family must be proud of you. This skirt is just perfect on you and I like very much the blouse and the belt you picked. What a perfect match and what a lovely way to enter fall !
    As for the scarf….I won’t tell enough how I love scarves (and more especially silk ones). The one you show on your page is not only trendy (tangerine… yehhh!). It is simply terrific. Would be really neat on a black outfit!

  35. I’m checking them out. I love the skirt and scarf! This weekend I did a little shopping of my own and loved the fall selection at my favorite retail shops. I found a fun scarf similar to the one featured here. I HEART FALL. Oh, and happy football season, my friend!

      Oh, yes! Football season IS here! Already been to one this past Friday night at the GA Dome! Univ. of TN vs. NC State. It was a GOOD night for UT fans! Hubby & I including!
      Sad news fromt the game…a 20 y.o. student from UT fell from the upper level and died. I cannot imagine what his parents are going thru….such a tragedy.

  39. Very nice skirt…beautiful colors and pattern. Yes, please, I would like to be in the giveaway. I have bought a few items from Soft Surroundings (I think all tops–the navy striped one I wore in a recent post was from them) and I have been happy with them all. The scarf is very pretty too!

  42. Lovely Long Skirt. I do not like short skirts or skirts that skin tight that much but flowy is always nice. I like the colors of the scarf as it definitely would go along with the fall weather. A hair piece to a simple outfit or a scarf with a simple outfit. Please , if you could..enter my name in the drawing : )

Their new fall catalog has so many great pieces in it…it is hard to pick a favorite. But, it is a must see if you want some great jackets, tops and skirts!

  47. Jeannie, this is such an awesome collaboration, you are perfect for Soft Surroundings! I love their stuff and I have a few long skirts from them. They have always had long beautiful skirts and unique items, it is true, it is hard to choose when shopping there, so many pretty things.   48. Oh my goodness, where to start! I love the scarf immediately because it’s in my colors and perfect for my fall/winter/spring/summer wardrobe! ha! And the skirt is lovely, especially the way you styled it with the drapey soft top. I love that too.

    First, off congrats on getting a sponsor. That is fantastic! I am familiar with their catalog and clothes and you’re right, they have the most beautiful, soft-looking things. So luxurious.
    I love that the skirt is blue and has a bohemian print along the bottom. And the scarf colors are perfect fall – vibrant and rich (and soft).
