Resort wear ~ linen

We’re home!  The last two weeks were absolutely wonderful!  Our first visit to Hawaii and it did NOT disappoint!

Our second week (post cruise) was spent on the Big Island, at a resort located on the Kohala Coast…northwest side  of the island.  It’s about 20 min. north of Kona Airport, simply known as South Kohala.  The area consists mostly of black & rust lava fields, a result of a Hualalai volcano eruption some centuries ago.  The resorts here look like green oasis among lava rocks.  An extreme contrast, to say the least…

The resort grounds.

Checking out the large resort complex & burning off a few calories!

First night dinner outfit…a simple white linen occasion dress.  Nothing I could put on could ever come close to this gorgeous background.

Al fresco dining at its finest….

the view from our table…priceless!

I’m liking up with Patti for Visible Monday and Jill for Monday Mingle.  Hop over to check out the ladies.

Thank you for visiting!

  1. Glad you’re home safe. Do you feel like you need a vacation from your vacation? That’s how I feel sometimes LOL! You looked relaxed and stylish.

  2. What beautiful photos! My husband and I want to go to Hawaii for our 15 th anniversary , which is only in 3 years. Your white dress looks beautiful.

  3. Now THAT’S what I call a vacation!! I’m so glad you were able to enjoy such a lovely time. I was able to imagine myself there. The pictures are beautiful. I love your dress, as well. Simple, elegant, and classy. Gorgeous, like you!!

    • Oh you sweetie!
Merci! I’d say this is one of my favorite vacations! Maybe we’ll be able to go back soon.
Hubby did a great job of capturing the beauty, but it still doesn’t come close to the real thing.

  4. Really beautiful photos Jeannie, so glad you are back. It is true, that sometimes the background is all the decoration we need. 🙂

  5. You are gorgeous anywhere and I love that verse and Hawaii. Just came back from So. Dakota and the Badlands and I thought of that same verse–God’s handiwork is awesome whether in the desert canyons or the beauty of Hawaii.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it very much!
