Hello everyone! Hope you’re having a good week!
Just wanted to share this wonderful message.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
THE BUZZARD
If you put a buzzard in a pen that is 6 feet by 8 feet and is entirely open at the top, the bird, in spite of its ability to fly, will be an absolute prisoner. The Reason is, that a buzzard always begins a flight from the ground with a run of 10 to 12 feet. Without the space to run, as is its habit, it will not even attempt to fly, but will remain a prisoner for life in a small jail with no top.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
THE BAT
The ordinary bat that flies around at night, a remarkable nimble creature in the air, cannot take off from a level place. If it is placed on the floor or flat ground, all it can do is shuffle about helplessly and, no doubt, painfully, until it reaches some slight elevation from which it can throw itself into the air. Then, at once, it takes off like a flash.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
THE BUMBLEBEE
A bumblebee, if dropped into a open tumbler, will be there until it dies, unless it is taken out. It never sees the means of escape at the top, but persists in trying to find some way out through the sides near the bottom. It will seek a way where non exists, until it completely destroys itself.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
PEOPLE
In many ways, we are like the buzzard, the bat, and the bumblebee. We struggle about with all our problems and frustrations, never realizing that all we have to do is look up! That’s the answer, the escape route and the solution to any problem…just look up!
Sorrow looks back,
Worry looks around,
But Faith looks up!
Live simply,
love generously,
care deeply,
speak kindly,
and trust in our Creator, who loves us.

Appreciate the push forward! I try to “look up” more in my life these days, but it’s not so easy …
You’re right, it’s not easy sometimes. Hang in there…God always provides a way out, you just have to have faith and pray a lot! Sending love your way!
I love the lines, “Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around…” How insightful! And thanks for visiting Korean Kibble :)!
Hi Jenny!
Glad you liked the message, and thank you for stopping by!
This is such an inspiring post. It’s inspiring in its simplicity! 🙂
As trouverlesoleil, I am feeling a bit funny not having known the buzzard, bat, and bee story before 😀 xxx
It was a timely reminder for me. So glad you found it inspiring.
I wasn’t aware of these facts either….I learned something new, too.
Beautiful post. Let me be a witness to the truth here. I couldn’t survive without my constant prayers. I need them now, more than ever before. It is the only way to survive and as time passes, all of us need to grab ahold of this. Times will continue to throw hardships our way and our only hope is looking up. Truly, that is our only hope now. This is good news because we will all realize the truth in the end, and that is the whole purpose of the suffering. To put our eyes in the right place. Looking up.
A loud AMEN!!
There’s nothing like the power of prayer.
I love this!
Glad you like! 🙂

Aren’t they? It reminds me of how “little” I know.
Lovely post! And interesting too!
Thanks Jenny!
On sort of a related note….I was just telling my daughter that today is over, we’ll never get it back, and to try to think of that occasionally. To make the best out of each and every day, because all of the sudden…life will just sweep you along until…you’re old! No. Make that middle-aged….
Great post….and an important reminder!
Elisa
Haha! You almost had me in tears until the “middle-aged” part! 🙂
Well, it’s my bedtime…this OLD lady has to get some rest to face another hectic day. 😦
Have a good night, Elisa!
You have a good night too. You are beautiful inside and out!

ummm, thoughtful post…..hubby thinks we people are like cows…..when one starts off in any direction, everyone follows with no idea of where, why and the end result!
Oh, Judy! You always make me smile!
I do sometimes act like a cow…just dazed and confused due to fatigue. I need a vacay!! 🙂
