Good Monday everyone!
I hope your Mother’s Day weekend was a special one.
I picked up this top from a small boutique in town…one of those impulsive buys. I love the color and the ruffles and it’s gauzy/linen-like material.
But, after reviewing these photos, I felt the top was a bit youthful…so, it’s in my daughter’s closet as of yesterday.
Top : ? (gave it to daughter without getting the name) Skirt: BCBGMaxAzria
Shoes: Charles David Bag: Dolce & Gabbana

It’s Monday, and I’ll be linking up with Patti for Visible Monday and Nicole for Monday Mingle. Check out the ladies!
Thank you for dropping by, and have a terrific week!
Heather of Style Confessions just brought me here… Delightfully gorgeous!! I love the wedges!
Thank you for stopping by!
Exquisite! Love it.
Thank you Heather!
Happy belated Mother’s Day!! You look great int that outfit, even if the top was too youthful for your taste! Lucky daughter getting that top!
xo, sam
Thanks Sam! Daughter really likes the top. It looks really pretty on her!
I love peach and black, I wanted to wear an outfit like this today! So lovely!
Thanks Rachel! 🙂
What a pretty and youthful top! Such a soft color that goes well with your hair. Your King Charles is so cute. I have 2 English Springers and they are lots of fun 🙂
Hi Leslie!
We LOVE our pups…don’t we?
Thank you for visiting!
No, it’s fab on you! But sure it will look fab on your daughter too!
Thanks! Yes, it looks a lot better on my daughter! 🙂
Absolutely amazing! I am not sure if the top is necessarily for a younger generation as it can always be layered with a cute cardi or shrug if necessary!
You look fabulous! xx
Oh, thank you Edita!
A cardi would have worked great…but, I wanted my daughter to have it. It looks better on her anyway.
Thanks for your visit! 🙂
oh man, can’t believe you gave away that top
it is gorgeous and looks gorgeous on you!!
brett
It did stay in the family…
I’ll just have to replace it! 🙂
I get it…what you feel about the top, but I think you look great in it. Borrow it back from your daughter!!
Haha! I’ll have more fun looking for a replacement top! 😉
This top is beautiful and sweet, very beautiful with those necklaces !!!

Thank you Christel! ❤
Love the ruffles!
Thanks Jill!
I think you look wonderful in the top…too youthful? Maybe borderline but you still managed to pull it off. The kitty picture is hilarious!
Thank you Bliss! It was fun for the photos, but I probably wouldn’t have worn it out anywhere. It would have been a waste to just sit in my closet…now, daughter can enjoy it! 🙂
It is very feminine and I do not think it is too girly or teeny looking on you. Maybe to some but not with you, you always look great! ^_^ I love the shoes too. And yes I am getting braver and braver trying to experiment if the dress does look good on me ^_^ Thanks for the visit I do appreciate it.
Kim,USA
Thanks Kim! I appreciate that.
I’m glad you’re experimenting…why not have fun, right?
Very pretty ruffle top i think it totally suits you…very feminine and chic! i like it with the maxi black skirt…looks very stylishly elegant. The necklace is just the right finishing touch. The kitty picture is super cute!

Hi Mongs!
Thank you! I DO love cute pet photos! I call them smile makers! 🙂
The peach is pretty, but I love the kitten pic!
He is cute, isn’t he?
Now that the pretty peach top is your daughters, I’m sure she wouldn’t mind lending it to you. I don’t often wear anything of my daughters, but when I do I know she doesn’t mind because she’s thinking its an open invitation to visit my closet!

How true! It’s funny tho…when my daughter was in high school, she had NO interest in my clothes. I guess it was too boring and old. But now that she’s out and working, my closet is the first place she’ll visit when she comes home for a visit. She’s not too shy about letting me know which ones she’d like to have.
It’s a pretty top and you daughter lucked out. I have a dress with a bow like this on the back and I keep wondering if I’m told old to wear it. I’ve snapped the photos, but I keep not using them on the blog.
Yea she did! Daughter’s not complaining tho…
I’d love to see your dress Terri!
Be still my heart ~ the outfit is stunning! As are you …………
Thank you so much Helen!!
You are SO very sweet! ❤
That is such a gorgeous ruffle top! Looks great!
Thanks Alicia! ❤
Hi Jeannie. Precious proposal. I love the blouse. That most beautiful pattern! The back is wonderful and flyers too. The color scheme very successful, even with the collar. I think the skirt tissue is very soft. Very good!
The shoes and bag, beautiful too.
Thank you Josep!
Yes, the top was the first thing I noticed in the boutique. I was drawn to the color and the shape of the top. And now, it looks great on my beautiful daughter! 🙂
I think you look great pairing it with the maxi and leopard accents
Thank you Peggy!
You look absolutely stunning in that colour and the top is super pretty. I am smitten with your shoes! You always look so elegant Jeannie.
Thanks Wendy!
We love our shoes, don’t we?
Good to hear from you! 🙂
I love the top with the ruffles and the color. Great outfit. Have a beautiful and safe week. God Bless = )
Hi Bre!
Thank you sweetie! I hope you have a wonderful week, too!
And, God bless you!!
Well, you look great!!! I love the top. Like you, I think “is this too young” or even “too old”……really, comes down to do you feel pretty…body type, personality, lifestyle etc……Again, you look great and with a fun flare at that! loves ya, j
Thanks Judy!
I thought I could pull it off…it’s okay on me, but it looks SO much better on my daughter!
I actually love this top on you, Jeannie – but I understand, we have to feel great in all our clothes. Lucky daughter! Great shoes today too : >
Thanks Patti!
Yes, it’s that little voice telling me to dress my age…I listen sometimes, and sometimes, not! 😉
It doesn’t look too youthful-you lok stunning in it!
Thank you very much, Tamera!
Just came over from Not Dead Yet…Are you kidding? You look fabulous in that top! I do hope you snag it back.
Lol! Daughter will call me an Indian giver if I asked for it back.
I think she really likes the top!
Thank you for visiting, Pao!
It’s awesome on you though!! I can see why you were drawn to it. I often get rid of things immediately if I think they’re a bit too youthful. I no long wear puff sleeves.
I definitely think you should be on the hunt for a replacement piece to keep this outfit in your wardrobe because it’s really nice!
Thanks Joni!
I’ll keep that in mind…an excuse to go shopping! 😉
Lucky daughter!
Yes she is! 🙂
Hey I think it looks cute on you.. not sure if you like the word ‘cute’. 🙂 I really loved how u paired it with the necklace.. very nice!
Hi Lady J!
Thank you! Hey, at my age, I’ll take “cute” any day! 🙂
Gorgeous top and I love the way you styled it! Have a wonderful week!!
Thank you Pam!
I knew you would rock a maxi skirt! You look fantastic and peach is great shade on you. I agree the top is probably better suited for the younger set, but you really could wear anything and look great. I am still amazed at how wonderful that short dress that you blogged about a few weeks back looks on you…I hope you will wear it again someday.
Happy Monday!
xo, A
Thanks Adrienne!
My daughter’s not complaining….she says keep it coming.
I appreciate your compliment….thank you!
