Peach ruffles…

Good Monday everyone!

I hope your Mother’s Day weekend was a special one.

I picked up this top from a small boutique in town…one of those impulsive buys.  I love the color and the ruffles and it’s gauzy/linen-like material.

But, after reviewing these photos, I felt the top was a bit youthful…so, it’s in my daughter’s closet as of yesterday.

Top :  ?  (gave it to daughter without getting the name)        Skirt:   BCBGMaxAzria

Shoes:  Charles David          Bag:  Dolce & Gabbana

It’s Monday, and I’ll be linking up with Patti for Visible Monday and Nicole for Monday Mingle.  Check out the ladies!

Thank you for dropping by, and have a terrific week!

  1. What a pretty and youthful top! Such a soft color that goes well with your hair. Your King Charles is so cute. I have 2 English Springers and they are lots of fun 🙂

  2. Absolutely amazing! I am not sure if the top is necessarily for a younger generation as it can always be layered with a cute cardi or shrug if necessary!
    You look fabulous! xx

  3. I think you look wonderful in the top…too youthful? Maybe borderline but you still managed to pull it off. The kitty picture is hilarious!

    • Thank you Bliss! It was fun for the photos, but I probably wouldn’t have worn it out anywhere. It would have been a waste to just sit in my closet…now, daughter can enjoy it! 🙂

  4. It is very feminine and I do not think it is too girly or teeny looking on you. Maybe to some but not with you, you always look great! ^_^ I love the shoes too. And yes I am getting braver and braver trying to experiment if the dress does look good on me ^_^ Thanks for the visit I do appreciate it.

  6. Now that the pretty peach top is your daughters, I’m sure she wouldn’t mind lending it to you. I don’t often wear anything of my daughters, but when I do I know she doesn’t mind because she’s thinking its an open invitation to visit my closet!

    • How true! It’s funny tho…when my daughter was in high school, she had NO interest in my clothes. I guess it was too boring and old. But now that she’s out and working, my closet is the first place she’ll visit when she comes home for a visit. She’s not too shy about letting me know which ones she’d like to have.

  7. It’s a pretty top and you daughter lucked out. I have a dress with a bow like this on the back and I keep wondering if I’m told old to wear it. I’ve snapped the photos, but I keep not using them on the blog.

  8. Hi Jeannie. Precious proposal. I love the blouse. That most beautiful pattern! The back is wonderful and flyers too. The color scheme very successful, even with the collar. I think the skirt tissue is very soft. Very good!

  9. I love the top with the ruffles and the color. Great outfit. Have a beautiful and safe week. God Bless = )

  10. Well, you look great!!! I love the top. Like you, I think “is this too young” or even “too old”……really, comes down to do you feel pretty…body type, personality, lifestyle etc……Again, you look great and with a fun flare at that! loves ya, j

  11. It’s awesome on you though!! I can see why you were drawn to it. I often get rid of things immediately if I think they’re a bit too youthful. I no long wear puff sleeves.
I definitely think you should be on the hunt for a replacement piece to keep this outfit in your wardrobe because it’s really nice!

  12. I knew you would rock a maxi skirt! You look fantastic and peach is great shade on you. I agree the top is probably better suited for the younger set, but you really could wear anything and look great. I am still amazed at how wonderful that short dress that you blogged about a few weeks back looks on you…I hope you will wear it again someday.
    Happy Monday!
