안녕하세요! (Korean for Hello!)
It’s a beautiful day in this neighborhood,
A beautiful day for a neighbor,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Do you remember this lyric? Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood! I used to watch it with my kids…a life time ago! 🙂
Wanna know what prompted me to remember this song? Well, I feel as tho the blog community that I’ve come to know is like an international neighborhood, with lots of wonderful friends who communicate with each other on a regular basis…sharing ideas, experiences, photos, recipes, DIYs, funnies, and so much more! So great! Isn’t it?
Today, I would like to take this time to thank a few blogger friends for Award nominations.

I am so grateful to these wonderful blog friends for allowing me to be a part of their circle. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
On a side note, I have a sick feeling that I’m leaving someone out. I’ve lost some of my emails, and I’ve racked my brain to figure out who it is with no avail. Please let me know if I’ve left you out…I’m blaming it on my old age!
A few photos of a cashmere dress that is no longer hanging in my closet because….
You got it! Too short! The dress was an online purchase, and I didn’t realize it would be this short. But, it was soooo soft! I kept it with plans of making it into a sweater….until my daughter volunteered to save the dress from the chopping block. Ah, just as well…I hated the thought of cutting it off anyway. Wear it well, my dear daughter! 🙂
I’m linking up with Fashion Friday.
I would like to thank YOU, my neighbors, for visiting!
Dress: Crumpet Vest: BCBGMaxAzria
Shoes: Donald J Pliner Bag: Burberry Shades: Escada
You have lovely legs!! The dress is cute too!!!
I say wear it 🙂
Aww, Thanks Jasmine!
Maybe I’ll borrow it from my daughter and add a legging?! 🙂
So sweet you gave your daughter the dress.I would have done the same.Apart from that you wore the short dress with grace and showed off your great legs but in a modest way.
Thanks so much Angie!
It looks better on my daughter anyway….glad she’s enjoying the dress.
Adore this look on you Jeannie, though if you feel uncomfortable with the length it is best that you gave it to your daughter – it’s difficult to feel confident and look stylish when you’re not happy with what you are wearing!
Totally agree with you about blogging community being like an international neighbourhood – have met so many amazing people through blogging, who I consider to be friends even though I haven’t met them in real life!! 🙂 Also, I will just say, you have another ‘Versatile Blogger Award’ nomination from me – don’t blame it on your age, I only posted it the other day 😉 !! xoxo
Lol! Thanks for the Award!
My daughter’s enjoying the dress…very much, she says! 🙂
Your daughter is lucky that she got the dress! But it looked fabulous on you – I’m sure the hubby didn’t mind you wearing it around the house! 😉
xo, sam
Lol! He did a double take when I came out of the closet…not sure if it was good or bad? He did agree that it was teensy bit too short. 🙂
I have a similar dress and I either pair it with leggings for a casual look or wear over smart black trousers for work. I thought it was so nice of you to make those lovely comments on fellow bloggers and highlight to others their talent.
I didn’t think of trying it with leggings before I gave it away. 😦
There are so many wonderful bloggers that I consider friends…it’s a great community!
I love this sweet harmony of colors, it’s beautiful on you !

Bonjour Christel!
Merci pour vos commentaires douce! 🙂
wau, looking so beautiful in these neutral colors!
Thanks V! It looks great on my daughter now!
I always liked it when my kids would watch Mr. Rogers because the show was quiet! You look amazing but I can understand wanting to pass the dress on to your daughter. That just means there’s room in your closet for something else!
Hey! I hadn’t looked at it that way! Of course, I’ll need to replace the dress now. 😉
I wonder if today’s kids would appreciate the quiet & gentle show like Mr. Rogers?
I am jealous that you CAN wear a dress like that…you look gorgeous, as usual. But I do feel it is too short. I am not a fan of short (more than a couple of inches above the knee) hemlines in general because I have an old (fart) soul. xoBliss
Lol! Well, I like your old fart soul!
You make me laugh and smile…thank you!!
Your dress is fabulous just as it is! And you totally own it!
Thank you!! 🙂
Have a super weekend, and I hope all your irritating issues get resolved!
Jeannie, thank you so much for the kind words and for including me. I feel so honored! And for introducing us to your wonderful blog friends. I agree that the dress is a bit short, but you look fabulous in it! You have a fantastic figure! Anything else you want to get rid of? 🙂 (just kidding) 🙂
Hi Patricia!
You’re so very welcome, and thank you!
The dress was just so soft & light…I hated to return it.
It’s okay tho, it stayed in the family! 🙂
Also, if you ever see that dress again, what about putting it over cropped leggings for added comfort?
Oh, I’ll see the dress again, but doubt I can get it back from dear daughter! 🙂
“Too short” for what? Not for you. But I understand about giving things to the girls . . . . I agree about the blog community and the same with Twitter–it’s so surprising to realize how many wonderful, supportive people with similar interests are out there in cyberspace, sharing their various passions and projects with each other.
Haha! Yeah, too short for this old lady!
It’s been a blessing to get to know some of the most interesting & wonderful people…including you!
Thanks for being my neighbor!
Thanks to you, too. I was telling my kids earlier how mutually supportive and wonderful some of the people in the blogging and Twitter communities in our age group and in the gardening community are, thinking of you being one of them. Such an uplifting network.
A pretty dress, but really a little short. Not too short and you is nice, but I understand you do not feel comfortable. It’s a shame, because the outfit achieved is very balanced and looks good with your skin. I love shoes, are comfortable for walking? I also like sunglasses and hair up. Finally, a shame it is no longer in your closet.
Hello Josep!
Thank you! Yes, the shoes are very comfortable! Not too high.
The dress will look much better on my daughter…she’s 23 y.o. and gorgeous!
Have a wonderful weekend!
You always look so great! Such an inspiration. And yes, I remember Mr. Rogers. My uncle worked with him for some time at the ETV network. Did you know he was a minister?
Thank you!
No, I did not! But, I’m not surprised…he had such a sweet spirit about him. I always wondered if anyone could really be that nice & gentle in real life…was he the same person outside the show?
Holy Cow! You are HOT!!! This is gorgeous on you- you have a beautiful figure.
Also thank you for your compliment. I am so flattered that you included me on your list- thank you! I love this ‘blogging world!’ and the support from one another.
Haha! Thanks Megan! So sweet of you!
You’re so welcome!
Have a super weekend! 🙂
You have the leggs for the dress, so, borrow it back from your daughter!!! It looks just fine on you and everything else is covered making the look appropriate.
Haha! I’ll see if she’ll let me borrow it!
I wish it was just a few inches longer….it would have been perfect! 🙂
The dress and you look great! neighbor 🙂
Thanks neighbor!! 🙂 🙂
The dress would have looked smashing with a pair of skinny slacks or even leggings! You’re right that the blogging community can be like Mr. Rogers Neighborhood…and now, I’ll have that tune in my head for the rest of the night.
Haha! Welcome to my head! I’ve been humming that tune for the last two hours…hubby’s not liking it much! It didn’t work with skinny jeans, but it probably would have worked with leggings…too late now! 😦
Congratulations on all the awards!
When I end up with a dress that is shirt length I just wear it with leggings.
It happens a lot and sometimes I even buy them that way intentionally.
Cheers,
Laura
Thanks Laura!
I tried it with skinny jeans but didn’t think about the leggings…darn!
I think that dress is fantastic on you and not too short at all! You have amazing, amazing legs and can pull it off – no problem. I am approaching 45 and starting to not care as much about my age/age appropriate dressing. I dress for me and what makes me feel good.
As long as I don’t offend anyone with my outfits – no plunging cleavage, no hemlines that barely cover my rear – I am okay. We have plenty of years ahead of us when wearing a dress like that is not going to look so great. Why not embrace how HOT you look now and let everyone see those gams!
I hope it’s not too late to get it back!
xo, A
Hi Adrienne!
You go girl!!
Gotta get me some of that ‘tude!
Too late to get it back, I’m afraid…she took the dress back to her apartment 2 hours away. At least, I’ll get to see it on my beautiful daughter.
Thanks for the encouragement!
i loved Mr. Rogers…. such a sweet, gentle man.
that dress was lovely, but i can see why you gave it to your daughter – i think it looks terrific on you, though! wearing it to the office would probably be disruptive! no one would get anything done!
You so crack me up daisyfae! I love you! 🙂
Hi Jeannie,
Thank you so much for the recognition. I am so flattered. I’m with you about what a wonderful bunch of bloggers I have come to know. This truly is a special community.
Thanks again,
Wendy
You’re SO welcome my friend! 🙂
I’m with Lynne… the dress would have looked great with skinny jeans but your daughter will enjoy wearing it and you’ll enjoy seeing her in it.
Thanks for being part of my online neighbourhood!
I’m sure it’ll look far better on my daughter anyway.
Thank YOU for being my neighbor!! 🙂
Tobi looks awesome! I have a tri color cavalier named Jack. Great dogs. And congrats on the blog awards!
Hi Andrew!
A Cav lover! I’ve had many dogs in my lifetime, but Tobi is about the best thing that’s happened to us. It might be because we’re old and our kids aren’t home anymore…doesn’t matter, Tobi rocks our world!
I bet Jack has the same affect on you, too! 🙂
Thanks for your visit!
I would have never parted with that beautiful sweater. It says, “Wear me with skinny jeans, or flowy maxis!” You totally rock it, and your daughter is a lucky girl!
Haha, it wasn’t easy to let go. I tried it with skinny jeans and a maxi skirt..it just didin’t work. I would have shortened it a bit more, but…oh well, it’ll look fabulous on my daughter.
Um wait a second now, is that you in that photo? You can totally pull off wearing that dress! You look like a model. I mean, it is short, yes, but you look great in it! Wear small biker shorts or something underneath so you don’t have to worry when you sit.
Hi Melanie!
LOL! If only I was a few years younger….
Thanks for your sweet comment! You made my night! 🙂
Anytime 🙂
