Peep of Orange…

Hello everyone!

I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!  Since I’ve promised to be more colorful, here’s my peep of orange to this otherwise casual outfit.  A perfect Saturday get-up.

It was a gorgeous sunny day today…spring’s in the air and so are the allergens!  Ahh-CHOO!

  1. you rock those shoes.

Colored shoes is a great way of adding a little more color to the wardrobe without feeling like suddenly becoming as colored as a christmas tree 🙂

      • That’s great! Yes, I’m a massive dog lover too. ha ha.

Are you able to give me your email address? I can send you a direct message with a Q&A and we can go from there.

        Thanks so much! xx

  2. You’ve got some style lady! I read you ‘about me’ section and it really put a smile on my face; I think blogging should be fun indeed, at least that’s the reason why I blog.. I recently started my own blog where I can express my style and my ideas on clothes, accessories and other things to adorn the body. That’s why I called it The Naked Body; not because our body is a mannequin but actually our only true possession in a way, and how we dress ourselves is indeed a way of self-expression of what’s inside (and no, it does not define who we are; it’s the other way around like you said). I will definitely keep following your blog! Feel free to take a peek at mine and say what you think (I believe my gravatar will link to my ‘personal’ blog (as I have more) but this is the link to TNB: thenakedbody.wordpress.com). Thanks for visiting and keep having fun blogging!

    All the best,
    Iris

    • Thank you Diane!
      Not always but I try…
I loved your “about me” page, and I’m glad your online shopping worked out. I live a few hours from a shopping mall, so I do most of my shopping online and love it!
      Thanks for visiting!

      • Wow! Thank you for dropping by my rarely visited blog Grace. It made me happy. I hope we could know each other better, albeit online 🙂 i’m following you now 🙂 have a great day!

  3. indeed, you have a lovely sense of fashion.. that little accent of orange really did the trick, made the whole ensemble so chic.. by the way, tobi is so adorable, seen lots of photos from your blog, you have beautiful children and a wonderful family..

    • Hi starlight,
Thank you! I am very blessed to have such a wonderful family.
I love the picture of your family…crabs included. I especially adore your fur-kids!
Thanks for visiting and your sweet comment!

  4. My daughter loves fashion http://www.onelonemagpie.com and she didn’t learn it from me, that’s for sure. I would love to dress fashion fify chic, yet I am too practically mind to boost a runway move and gravitate toward funky fun. Like the saddle shoes (oxfords?) I recently acquired. Jeans and heels. I will admire from afar.

    • Thanks for your visit, and your daughter does have a great style! She’s also very beautiful…like her mom?
I live in sweats and t-shirts when home, so I get your sentiments…comfort is GOOD!
      Have a great day!

  5. How can one resist the title of your blog? 🙂
Being gracefully anything is darn hard so congratulations!
Orange is turning out to be my favorite color. On a tour of SE Asia and seeing the flow of monks in orange is always a welcoming site!

    • Yes, growing old gracefully is hard…kicking and screaming is more like it.
I saw your photos and they are SO wonderful! I have a bucket list a mile long for places I want to visit. Thanks for stopping by and happy travels to you!

  6. Congratulations on being freshly pressed! I like the pop of color I think orange is a nice accent. I have a bright orange color frame in my kitchen greens and light brown so the orange pop is nice, kind of like your outfit it works.

    • Thank you! It was a wonderful surprise.
I’m more of a neutral person most of the time, but this blogging has encouraged me to branch out a bit…more colors for spring’s in order….great mood lifter.
      Thanks for your visit!

      • That’s that most of my life I have worn bright colors. I just feel better in them. I have been working on branching out more as well so my change is to be open to wearing neutrals. I like the way you put your outfits together. I am looking to change my look just a little bit and like you say to be aware of being age appropriate I’m about to turn a graceful age soon.

  7. Just returned from a day shopping in beautiful Toronto with my daughter (with something ORANGE, actually) to find your lovely blog about fashion. I turned “fiftylicious” (as my sister called it) this year, and am so encouraged by women who embrace it with such a sense of style and freshness as yours. I make every effort to defy arthritic knees and large numbers by enjoying heels and fashion as I please. My kids and garden keep me young and my mother keeps me hopeful for the future. Your whole site is positive and inspiring. Loved it!

    • Thank you so much for your sweet words!
I love spending time with my daughter, too…especially shopping! 🙂
I love the term “fiftylicious!” I’ll have to remember that…makes 50 sound so glamorous!
You are so talented! I just saw the before and after photos of your home. Wow!!

  8. Wow! Congrats. I “meet” you one day and your pressed the next. Wish I could say I had something to do with it but I didn’t. ; ) Some day I hope to be pressed as neatly as you.

      • That’s what mine (hubby) says when I tell him I wish I would get pressed sometime! I love your outfit…girl I know those are sitting shoes! (the kind you sit and look good in, not the kind you walk the mall in) 🙂 I am working the graceful way to 50 I hope! (46 last Monday) I am on my way to check out more of you! Have a wonderful day! 9. Many congrats on being Freshly Pressed! I so enjoyed my visit around your blog site. Like you, I am a dog lover, and I, too, am 50-something. Your attitude and confidence are inspiring. Great photos on all your posts. Wishing you continued success!

  10. This blog was such fun to visit. You truly have a great deal of class and style. Love the statement of the shoes. Within each country soul is a dancing lady out on a great social night. Thank you for sharing with your WordPress family.

  11. Shoes, great –check
    blog, great — check
    being 50 and rockin’ it—PRICELESS!

We women of age must set the example of what fantastic looks like.

  12. This article got you Freshly Pressed and that’s how I found your beautiful blog. You’re entirely too adorable to be 50, but I love your attitude about it. I’m facing the big 5-0 this year and have mixed emotions about it. Sure, it’s just a number, but it’s a number with a stigma. I love your blog and will be back here often. Thanks for sharing your cool fashion sense. Since I have none, I’ll have to be back here to get some. 🙂

    • Hi there!
So glad you came by! I’m inspired by your courage and what you’re going thru!
It’s not easy being 50ish…but, hey, what choice do we have? Gotta make the best of it, right?
I hope to see you around. 🙂

    • Hmm…have I offended you in someway? It’s not my intention to advertise anything. This blog is something that I do for personal reasons. I’m not quite sure what to make of your comment?

      • let me clarify, because it has nothing to do with you. i apologize for that. it’s more about my criticism for what wordpress deems “freshly pressed.” you, me, we all have every right to post anything we want, provided it doesn’t maliciously hurt anyone. however, if WP is going to look for something to be “freshley pressed,” it shouldn’t be a fashion ad. doesn’t matter how amazingly attractive the woman looks in those jeans and heels. that’s wonderful, that part.

    • Thank you!
The jacket is a great transition piece from winter to spring…although the sleeves are leather, it’s a light jacket. I’m trying to be more colorful this spring!

    • Hi Anne!
I’m trying to be more colorful this spring!
I can spend hours looking at cute pet photos…they make me smile. I figure if they make me happy, maybe they’ll bring a smile to a reader’s face. 🙂

  13. Aren’t Seven jeans the best? That is my favorite brand of jeans. I love your shoes. Those are fantastic. Great color, great heel, great detail on the back. You look casually chic in this outfit!

  14. Total change. Today, casual, color, charm. Always perfect. And, as always, wonderful shoes and bag. Each new post is better. Happy spring.

  15. love the pop of orange! what a great outfit! you look ultra classy and gorgeous as usual~ I wish you could come visit me and help me look more classy like you. I have a hard time because I love color and sometimes I get to work and I think to myself “why did I dress like a clown?” LOL!

    • Haha! I doubt you look like a clown.
My thoughts on dressing…if you feel good in it, that’s all it matters! At my age, these tattered jeans are prob. not too appropriate, but hey, I like them! Sometimes, you just venture out of your comfort zone and see what happens.
      I hope you’re having a great weekend!

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it very much!
