Hubby and I had plans to get away for a few days but woke up this morning to a rainy & dreary day. The weekend forecast calls for more of the same so the plan for a little R&R is a no go. 😦
Since I have some time at home, I thought I’d show you the necklace I’d picked up last weekend while hunting for a vintage jewelry. Although not a vintage piece, the necklace has an antique vibe due to its use of antique silver and fresh water pearls. I also appreciate the fact that it’s handmade.
So, what do you think? I know it’s not a “one of a kind” vintage piece…but I rather like it. 😉

Have a wonderful weekend, and as always, I really appreciate your visit!

I will try my best! Thank you so much for the encouragement!! 🙂
i love that pearl necklace!!
Thanks V! 🙂
I think it’s really pretty, even if it’s not one of a kind. You can’t argue with pearls, right?! And that clasp is gorgeous! Makes it so unique!!
xo, sam
I love pearls, too. The clasp was what caught my eyes…I really like it.
Oh wow, I love your new necklace! You wear it very well and you look so beautiful 🙂
Hi Anne Mari,
Thank you so much! I hope you’re adjusting to your new life with Felix…he’s absolutely adorable!
Wow.. this is such a great find! Loved the vintage style.. definitely very versatile with a couple more looks 🙂
Thanks Lady J! I think so, too. Definitely versatile…single or double layered, casual or dressy. I like it very much!
Lovely necklace! I need something like that. I’ve been on the lookout for big (fake) pearls and after seeing the Coco & Igor yesterday (with coco Chanel wearing the most amazing long necklaces) I want it even more.
Hi Sylvia,
I’ve never been one to wear big & bold jewelry….I think it’s an intimidating factor. I figure this one is a good start. I’m getting braver in trying new things…thanks to blogging. 🙂
Very pretty necklace but I really love the jacket worm with jeans. Great Chanel like look!
Thanks Heather!
The jacket is by a Korean designer, very well made, and the fit is just perfect! The leather trim is what sold me on it. I wish I’d gotten more pieces by this designer when I had the chance.
It IS a pretty necklace. We strolled through an antique shop today and time after time, my eye was caught by a piece of vintage jewelry. I like the leather detail on your jacket.
Hi Terri, Thanks! I’m still doing some research on near by reputable antique shops. I’d still love to find that special piece.
Great vintage inspired piece. Have a lovely weekend, sorry that your trip was delayed.
Thanks Bella! Maybe next weekend…hoping for a better/warmer/drier weather!
I think it’s really lovely, teamed with the Jacket your look is so classic Chanel esq 🙂

It’s a statement piece and I like it all the more bacause it’s hand made.Nice dining room!
Thanks Angie! It was raining & chilly outside….so no choice but to take pics inside the house. We hardly use this dining room anymore with just the two of us….only when entertaining.
I really like it alot and I love the complete look…great jacket! I think the necklace is beautiful!!
Thanks Pam! This is one of my all time favorite jacket…picked it up when I was visiting Korea few years ago. So well made!
you can’t go wrong with hand made, i think!
Hi daisyfae! There’s something special about handmade things…maybe because it’s a lost art, so many things are mass produced these days. I miss your posts…come back soon!
