Not quite vintage…

Hubby and I had plans to get away for a few days but woke up this morning to a rainy & dreary day.  The weekend forecast calls for more of the same so the plan for a little R&R is a no go. :(

Since I have some time at home, I thought I’d show you the necklace I’d picked up last weekend while hunting for a vintage jewelry. Although not a vintage piece, the necklace has an antique vibe due to its use of antique silver and fresh water pearls. I also appreciate the fact that it’s handmade.

So, what do you think?  I know it’s not a “one of a kind” vintage piece…but I rather like it. ;)

Have a wonderful weekend, and as always, I really appreciate your visit!

I think it’s really pretty, even if it’s not one of a kind. You can’t argue with pearls, right?! And that clasp is gorgeous! Makes it so unique!!

  8. Lovely necklace! I need something like that. I’ve been on the lookout for big (fake) pearls and after seeing the Coco & Igor yesterday (with coco Chanel wearing the most amazing long necklaces) I want it even more.

      Hi Sylvia,
I’ve never been one to wear big & bold jewelry….I think it’s an intimidating factor. I figure this one is a good start. I’m getting braver in trying new things…thanks to blogging. :)

  9. Very pretty necklace but I really love the jacket worm with jeans. Great Chanel like look!

      Thanks Heather!
The jacket is by a Korean designer, very well made, and the fit is just perfect! The leather trim is what sold me on it. I wish I’d gotten more pieces by this designer when I had the chance.

  10. It IS a pretty necklace. We strolled through an antique shop today and time after time, my eye was caught by a piece of vintage jewelry. I like the leather detail on your jacket.

Thanks Angie! It was raining & chilly outside….so no choice but to take pics inside the house. We hardly use this dining room anymore with just the two of us….only when entertaining.

Hi daisyfae! There’s something special about handmade things…maybe because it’s a lost art, so many things are mass produced these days. I miss your posts…come back soon!
